In the last couple of weeks we have had two seriously bad issues with the ABC. The first involved many very vulnerable and brave women having their identities released in a promotional clip for a documentary about sexual assault.

None of these women agreed to have their stories shared and didn’t even receive acknowledgment of sharing their stories in the first place. What was to come when it was discovered, wasn’t really an apology.

It was a blame game and it started with one of the most respected journalists in the country, also an advocate of victims of a sexual abuse, blaming it all on being a freelance journo now and not having the time to get back to these women after they shared their harrowing stories. (I have chosen not to print names in this part of the article because of the sensitive nature of the content of this seriously horrendous F#+@ up). How this got released through editing and legal is beyond belief and all should be held to account).

The second one comes down to Laura Tingle. Now I have held some journalists with the highest regard, especially journalists on the ABC, but in the last 12 months or so this has changed. The likes of Andrew Probyn, Leigh Sales, Annabel Crabb, Peter Van Onselen (not ABC) and now Laura Tingle have made me lose faith in journalism. Their political bias is not my biggest issue. It’s when we on Twitter or any other social media and we correct their mistakes, they go into full ARROGANCE mode. They act all high and mighty like they’re superior to us all. A Journalism degree or Arts degree does not make you superior to anyone.

Laura Tingle was advertising a story making out it was not government spin by using the “Quiet Australians” heading. This “Quiet Australians” is spin by the PM used to make us all subservient to his will.

So the ABC find it appropriate these days to parrot the moron’s agenda, when we started doing research and calling Laura out on it, this is what she tweeted:

For all the Twitter sleuths, Janita Singh who appears in our Quiet Australians piece, USED to work for News Ltd’s local papers. She gave it up a few years ago to look after her special needs son. BTW I also used to work for News Ltd (but you could tell that anyway, couldn’t you)?

Laura, you are a Public Servant. Yes, you work for us. We aren’t “Quiet Australians”. We look for facts and evidence based reporting. When we call you out, don’t go all arrogant and born to rule on us. Simply say, ‘I fucked up by not divulging’. We will not be lectured to by someone who has a history of working for News Corp or links to the Liberal party. Us centrists deserve respect, like you seem to demand for yourself. Its become a club of arrogance and you now are a fully-fledged member.

Then we have Sabra Lane’s program on ABC National:

Sabra interviewed an innocent old “Tamworth farmer” who waxed lyrical about how wonderful a job the Federal Government had done with the drought package. Her name was Robbie Sefton (everybody in farming knows her). She runs almost all of the Federal Government’s PR and consulting for them in rural Australia and currently has about $2 million worth of contracts with the Federal Government. She’s also no fricking farmer either. Her husband Alistair Yencken is.

Social media isn’t the issue here, guys. It’s now that we can research easily and hold you to account.

We demand Balance and we demand it now.

Wake the F#+@ up Australia A letter to #auspol

Australia, it is time we sat down and had a little chat. In 2005, a wise man wrote a speech for a movie. This man saw into the future. His name is little known. It is Alan Moore and the movie is V For Vendetta and this is what he wrote:

“There is something terribly wrong with this country, isn’t there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who’s to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn’t be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense”

At the time, I solely put this on John Howard’s born to rule attitude. Never could we have predicted Morrison and Dutton.

They are all the Same!

You see people, your lack of engaging in politics and using the whole “they’re all the same” excuse is lazy and quite frankly pathetic! They are not all the same and I’ll show you why.

You have been lied to by the Liberals since the Howard years. I believe children overboard was the start and it has never stopped since. The last election you were completely conned by Clive Palmer and the Liberals and you fell hook line and sinker.

All the Liberals are is a bunch of con men and you have stood by and let it all happen with your ignoramus views and relying on social media propaganda.

I can hear you all questioning my political stance and “Oh! He is just a leftie!” You couldn’t be more wrong. I’m a centrist. I believe in facts, science and the economy and our children’s futures. I believe in policy for the better of the entire population and not for my mates and the big end of town. At the moment the Labor party make me feel angry. Not because of their policies, but because they’re blaming themselves for the election loss and not calling to account the myriad of lies that were told during the campaign and don’t even get me started on the Greens!

The Prime Sinister

Now what do we have currently – well let me start with the Prime Minister or should I say Prime Sinister. This man isn’t a Christian he is an anti-Christ. This man started the torture of refugees by taking away the plan of the Labor party of 12 month settlement for people that came by boat. Now 22 people have died and he simply says things like “well they shouldn’t have come by boat.” These people were and are escaping regimes and wars we helped create. They are not evil like the Liberals have you believe and they are NOT illegal.

When treasurer just before becoming Prime Minister, he resided over the worst budgets in Australia’s history. He ripped the funding for every service we need including the aged care budget. 16,000 elderly citizens have died on waiting lists for services.

Mediscare was not a scare campaign by the Labor party. It was fact and over one million Australians have admitted not going to the doctor because of increased fees.

How does a man that pushes his evangelical Pentecostal religion onto our screens, rip apart our world leading medical system and kill people seeking asylum?

Evil, Complicit and Incompetent

Little known in the community is Scott Morrison is a failed marketing man that was forced out of Tourism NZ and Tourism Australia for incompetence amongst other things and now he is running our country.

Then we have one of the most evil, complicit, incompetent and some say fraudulent man called Peter Dutton in charge of the ABF. Yes, Malcolm Turnbull was so scared he would be dumped as Prime Minister by the far right of the party, he made this Monster the most powerful Minister in the country.

Peter Dutton does not care about you or your civil rights. He is trying to take them all away. He lies and confuses people with his regular radio interviews. Commentators allow him to get away with it constantly and you all fall for it. He lies about everything refugees, asylum seekers, boat turn backs etc etc if he opens his mouth just like Morrison he is LYING.

Fooled by Lies

People, whilst you sit there in your lounge chairs watching the country burn and beaches erode, every civil liberty you have gets taken from you.

Don’t sit there and say, “They are all the same’’ They are not! Labor is not perfect, but they saved us from the Global Financial Crisis and they had a plan to fix this mess and you just sat there being fooled by lies.

Wake up, do some research and call it out. Do not believe anything you read on social media unless you can prove it to be true. I guarantee if the Liberals and the Nationals are saying it, it’s a lie! It’s not SPIN it’s a lie.

And then there’s the corruption and not in the Labor party. One Labor Senator resigned over a $1600 bill being paid by a Chinese donor. He fell on his sword to not further hurt the Labor party. His life fell apart and his wife left him.

Then you have the Liberals. I’m a researcher on twitter and I am part of a group called #auspol on twitter. We feed stories to journalists and the amount of corruption of the Liberals and the Nationals is there in plain sight. They don’t even cover their tracks and when we publish, they just deny and it and move on. The Liberals and the Nationals refuse to build an anti-corruption body because they know what will come out and possibly a lot of them would simply be jailed.
